I think we need more information.
Does the program install?
Does it open?
What part are you stuck on?
No and no just trying to get set up me and a friend were going to update tomorrow using my sons computer has window 7.
Seems to be quite a pain just to update sorry but I'm just not computer savvy seems like a whole Lotta work
Now that I've downloaded the zip files seems like my boys computer keeps crashing now that's not good
Also I stepped out to see if I can find one of those modules that I could use my USB port on my computer with windows 10 and I'm having no luck finding anybody have any suggestions where I can find one
Guess what I just found in my programs legacy system utilities my problem is I cannot figure out what port that nine pin port in the back of his computer would be or do I have to have the legacy base looked up to the computer in that port before I can find it
Well I just connected my base to the computer in the back it it must've automatically connected because it says base connected this is crazy
If your computer has (1) 9-pin serial port it is typically Port 1. And yes the base should be hooked up or the LSU software will bot connect.
Well I had success I backed up my bass and was going through a couple of the options and computer crashed again so it's firing back up we're going to see if I can get back on it
Yes that's exactly what it did Marty only problem is is I have to have the rewritable module but I won't be there until tomorrow .
Going back to watch a couple of the videos just so I kind a have a down hopefully will have success tomorrow thanks Marty for your help
Oh one more thing now that I have it hooked up could I download and update my base right now without the black module and then update Mike cab to tomorrow when I do have the module or should I wait just wondered
No you'll need the black module to update the base.
Just finished dinner thanks Marty appreciate the info I have to wait till tomorrow
Back at it today I've updated the black module legacy base software now what do I do
OK updated mine base and remote now I'm trying to do my friends and it seems to not want to upload it's kee OK updated mine base and remote now I'm trying to do my friends and it seems to keep shooting an error code why is that
I'm not sure what you mean. Did you create a "Base Module"?
If so, re-insert it into the base. Pull the power on the base. Push and hold the channel select button on the bottom. Plug the power back in. When the base lights start to flash let go of the button. The lights will continue to flash for about a minute. When done the base will reboot and cycle through the green red and yellow lights.
Now make a cab module. When you are done making it, put it in the cab2 while powered down. Push and hold the set button and the bottom and power it up. Once the red led starts flashing let go of the set button. After about a minute the cab will reboot.
Push the CTC button and check that the remote and base are both the version you down loaded.
You're getting ahead of me. Your friends base could have an issue. You might need to talk to Lionel on Monday. The error codes are in the back of the manual.
Well we got them both updated what happens when you don't know what you're doing and you're trying to do it thanks for the info Marty got them both updated 1.6
Good deal!
