They've got to be LM, no way a scale cab forward is $1200.

If you're right that could save me a bundle as I don't think I am interested in a LM version of the AC-12. The catalog illustrations (there's a number of different paint schemes, including the gray boiler version and Daylight) look like scale size engines but of course the truth may be different.

I was about to say that a LM cab forward would require new tooling but Lionel did make an LM AC-12 way back in pre-Legacy days (SKU 6-11107, released 2006/07). I don't think I have ever seen one of these in the flesh but a few pictures I have seen don't show a vast amount of scaling down. Maybe somebody who owns one can comment on that:

The fine tooling for the earlier scale TMCC AC-12 has been "recycled" once already. Anyway, I was pleasantly puzzled by the MSRP of c. $1,300 as that's the same if not slightly less than the Legacy cab forwards issued in about 2013. Even as I write that, it seems too good to be true that the new items are scale.

Not good for me as I have been chasing a scale size gray boiler version for years - 3rd Rail made one in brass many years back.

I noticed that the CNW car has a Miller beer logo outline symbol on the door. I have a Weaver Milwaukee Road grain boxcar with the same symbol on its door. Perhaps these cars were some kind of dedicated cars for hauling grain to a Miller's brewery. Be interesting to know.

Breezy, in Ryan’s YouTube discussion, he said the cars were used to haul grain byproducts from the breweries to be sold as livestock feed. Interesting.

Milwaukee Road had the spent grain haulers too, converted rib side cars. Miller outline on those too. Weaver may have done those with their rib side cars

As I mentioned above, I have one of the Weaver Milwaukee Road ribbed boxcars with the Miller outline, so indeed they did do these. I came across a thread from a couple years ago (see 5/11/18 "SF bulk grain boxcar" started by rattler21) with some information about these grain boxcars with hatches, including this photo posted by Rusty Traque of a Milwaukee Road ribbed grain boxcar.

"Apparently, the Milwaukee Road had some for spent grain leftover from the beer brewing process. Note the Miller Brewing logo outline on the door:"

All I can say is I look forward to getting this new dream book, I call it getting ready for Christmas in July, it’s always fun to see what Lionel offers, maybe a 10 wheeler Steamer in a road name I collect. I’ll get my I-Pad all charged up, relax in my recliner, have a glass of sweet tea, and enjoy the view.  Wow, I’m excited. Have a great day everyone, stay safe, stay healthy, pray continually. I don't have a photo of car 6161 (which could be actually lettered like the Lionel image), but if you study the photo of 6280 you show (from rr-fallenflags and is the Jim Sands photo I remember), you will notice several things wrong with Lionel's rendition of the car:

  1. the lettering size, front, and placement is completely wrong for the big CofG lettering.
  2. the placement of the wording on the door is wrong.
  3. the end lettering is way too small, but then you notice its a byproduct of the car having the wrong ends entirely.
  4. the sill is wrong, but is probably the easiest thing to fix, paint, and blend with weathering.
  5. replace that ajax brake wheel with a miner brake wheel
  6. The PS2 roof hatches they're using might be too small compared to what the prototype actually had (the hatches in the photo look like they extended over the ribbing, they don't on the Lionel image), but that's the least of my concerns for this car.

It's Lionel, not Smoky Mountain Model Works.

"Anything for us traditional operators?"

A fair number of standard O gauge freight cars with reduced detail selling for about $33 at Nassau Hobbies.  A number of LC + 2.0 locos at MSRP below your typical RailKing locos and LC locos for under $200.  Didn't see any postwar or prewar celebration type stuff however.

locos under 200 bucks what are they ? are they already seen or new for vol 2? northeastern roadnames?

That was the only photo I could find. As for correct sills, those you have to make yourself. No OEM is ever going to customize cars with them. Since photos of these cars are rare, no one will really know how they should be. Just happy to get another Lionel box car model unlike the lazy MTH group.

"What I am hoping to see is traditional sized postwar style Lionel trains."

There are some new standard O gauge sort of postwar style freight cars.  There are also some O27 freight cars, but I don't recall if they were new this catalog.  Nassau Hobbies has removed the search ability to find the pre-order items, so we'll have to wait until tomorrow.

"locos under 200 bucks what are they ? are they already seen or new for vol 2? northeastern roadnames?"

These are the LionChief separate sale locos and these are Nassau Hobbies and Charles Ro prices, not MSRP.  Some were new.  I vaguely recall a NYC Geep for one item but I may be misremembering. There are also a few small steam locomotives in that price range as I recall.  Some seemed new road names.

As an example at Charles Ro:
