Hello Folks,
I am trying to collect, one by one, the low 800 series set of tinplate cars from Lionel (including 803 through 807).
When looking at these online, I often see a "complete boxed set" of these cars, but they also include a short 4-wheel flat car.
Unlike the other cars, these are few and far between on the Bay, and are generally really beat -up, I guess because they were so fragile and generic looking?
I think that the car number for this car is 831. Is that correct please? If so, why is the number so far out of sequence from the other cars, if they were issued in a boxed set?
