I temporarily just got a Lionel Authorized Service Station Clock as seen in the attached picture. Illumination works, but clock mechanism isn't operational. So am asking the forum for some information about this clock.

  1. Actual Service Station Clock or Clock made or licensed by Lionel for the consumer market.
  2. Idea of its monetary value if clock mechanism is made operational.
  3. Illumination Neon or Fluorescent Bulb
  4. Approximate year(s) made

I will take back off the clock and try to fix clock mechanism for my friend. I can buy the clock from my friend, but want to make a fair offer.

Thanks in advance for the information.!!!!

On the back of the clock you will find the company, located in Lancaster PA, that sells replacement movements. The replacement includes new hands since although the same colors they are different from the original.

I have the clock and it stopped working so I got the replacement and had someone install it for me. He kept the old one.

He called me up a couple of days later to tell me it just needed to be cleaned and lubricated. It works fine. I told him to keep it.

It is illuminated via neon.

It was sold to service stations and they had the opportunity to purchase several for resale. It was not created strictly for the consumer market.

I’ve had my clock since around 2000.

Value in good operation and condition varies anywhere between $400-500. They sell very quickly.
