OK--I give up and need help. There have been a couple of times when I have had a post simply asking for input or advice. Somehow it gets moved or who knows deleted. I am not here to argue the moderators decision to move post, it's their forum and they can do what they want. All I need at this point is how do I go about locating the post? For all I know, this post may be in the wrong area of the forum also. Thanks for any help here.

There is a SEARCH feature in this forum that you should learn how to use. It's in the blue tool bar at the top on the right.
It can help you find anything!

In this particular case Rich, I kinda' like Marty's suggestion, you can scan your own posts and find stuff pretty quickly.

If the post has been deleted, it's gone forever, correct?
It would be nice if a message was automatically generated when a post is deleted.

Yes.

You don't even know if it's gone yet! And...in the 20+ year history of this forum, we have never sent any notices of deleted posts. The software is not set up to do that, and if we did it manually it would be a full-time job for someone.

Yes, I understand. However, Marty's post is just a URL copied from a search he set up using the SEARCH function. Just like THIS ONE that finds all of your posts.
Actually, I thought he just clicked on the user profile from the picture, that's how I do it if I want to locate a user's posts.
A lot of problems could be avoided if folks would just first read our TOS and also become familiar with our categories/subforums. I moved this to the proper forum as the topic has nothing to do with 3-rail traditional trains.
