Good morning Group.   Since this O scale caboose kit comes with no instructions I'm stymied as to where the parts shown in the photo belong.  One piece of 5/32" x 3/32" hardwood, one paper piece with 1/2 holes in it, 6 small brass pieces on left of photo,  8 and 24 small brass pieces on right of photo.  Thank you.20250220_08231520250220_081533

I took a look at one of my Mullet River kits, for a Central Vermont caboose.  None of the etched parts look like the ones that you've pointed out.  I also don't see a piece of paper like the one shown.

I would suggest that you start by contacting Des Plaines Hobbies as my understanding is that they have the tooling for the Mullet River line now.  If that's true, then theoretically they should have some pdf or Word files for the instructions that go along with the kits.

The other option would be to contact Dan Dawdy (railroad-guy on this forum) either here or via O Scale Resource.  Glenn Guerra is the original owner of Mullet River and has contributed to O Scale Resource in the past.  You might manage to get word to him through that connection.

By the way, I spoke with Matt from Des Plaines at last year's Chicago March Meet and he said they were working on getting the kits back into production.  I hope they do as I could use at least one more CV caboose.

Hi Dan.  Perfect, thank you!  In hind sight I should have kept my plans when I built the first one 15 years ago.....lesson learned.  By the way, if you don't mind masking, I have to purchase brake gear.  It seems like Grandt Line, Westinghouse brake set 3049 is my best bet for the under gear.  Not sure what is best for the brake wheel, linkage and lever arms?
