pointing to an exact post within a thread

Click on the Take Action of the specific post and select Permalink.

Copy the contents of the address line, that's the direct link to the post.

Here's the resultant link.  That will take you to the post you captured the permalink from.

Go to the post and click on "Take Action" in the lower right hand corner of the post. Next, click on "Permalink" and the web address of the post will appear in the URL window at the top of your browser. Then copy the URL and paste into an e-mail.

Click "Take Action" on the post, and select "Permalink"

Then copy the new URL out of your browsers address bar and share that.

There's three solutions Walt, they all seem similar.

It amazes me, constantly, both how willing everyone here is to help and also how quickly my question got MULTIPLE helping replies.

I'm guessing the very old request Rich said he was going to inquire about regarding changing the text for "Permalink" to "Link this post" was denied.  Shame, since that's much more intuitive.

It wasn't "denied." They just never took any action on it. In fact, now that you mention it,  I don't recall hearing anything about it one way or the other.

I posted the suggestion again just now with Hoopla...er...I mean Crowdstack Tech Support.

Check out the "Take Action" box! No more "Permalink." It now says, "Link directly to this post."

Crowdstack Tech Support told me I could edit the "Wordlets" file for this forum and make that change. I figured out how to do that and now it's done.
