PS1 light boards

Hello,

I have a question about the light board that lives in the nose of PS1 F-3's . The board appears to be connected to track power and I assume that the blue & brown wire are a switch for direction. I have one with the board removed that the lights (including the mars light) come on under track power. Can this board take a constant 18V?

Yes. It is a constant voltage board, the 2 jumpers that come from the PS-1 board trigger a transistor to make the Head Light Directional, but otherwise the rest of the lights (Number Board, Cab Light stay on with track voltage. G
