Response time question

I noticed that my response time seems to be a fair amount longer with the new forum. I am using Firefox however I am not sure if it is something hosed up with my browser and/or ISP or does the new new forum take a bit longer to load. I tried all the usual things to clean up Firefox. I mainly use the browser for the the forum so I can't really tell if other sites are taking longer.

I did download Google's Chrome browser to try and it seems to run a good bit faster.

I was just wondering if anyone else encountered this and if there is something I can do improve my response times. FWIW I am OK with the new response times, especially given all the new functions. I just was wondering if I can do something to improve it at my end. I am not all that computer savvy to troubleshoot these things.

Ed, I have not noted any big difference between the load times for this forum as opposed to the old forum. Every once in a while a page will hang for a few moments, but beyond that I have not seen any big slowdown.

There are so many things that can come into play that affect load times it is hard to tell you where to look.

The more I look into this I am thinking it is something at my end. I downloaded Chrome and I am really liking it and it seems like the response times are a lot better. So maybe something got corrupted in my Firefox settings.

Lastly thanks for the new forum. I can't image the amount of time, effort and money that goes into making this kind of change. The added functionality is great.

I have noticed a difference too. It seems now a page will start to load, pause for a second or two then finishing loading. I was so use to the load times on the old Forum that I find have to force myself to wait that extra second or two.

Not a big deal but there is a difference.
