Time for F units on a Saturday morning. No layout shot of my new unit yet, just sitting on the front edge of my O gauge layout. She now has her A200 air horns and will have knuckle couplers later today. Already converted to onboard battery, will get an upgraded set up soon with Revolution RC, higher power battery to handle the sound equipted B unit soon to be added. I relocate the front truck closer to the fuel tank, as built by LGB, its to far forward. But there are a second pair of screws holes for the bolster that corrects the truck position. However you have to body mount the front coupler and remove the truck mount to do this. I just frame mount a LGB knuckle as that is my coupler of choice on American prototype trains. Mike the Aspie
"HONGZ" stands for HO scale, N scale, G scale, and Z scale.
Post your non-O scale stuff here!

Looks nice. I would do more G if I had any room. I have about 9 cars and loco and 1600 size oval with about 6 feet of straight on each side.
Don't you have an outdoor G garden layout?
I have a small outdoor layout and an indoor overhead loop around our living room. The outdoor layout is going to hopefully gain an extension loop around the tree and my Ham radio tower later this summer. Its all R1 curves, although if I can find a good used circle of LGB R2(15000) curves, I will use those for the extension loop. I mostly run European stuff, but have wanted one of thier F7's for awile so I grabbed this one at last fall's open house at RLD hobbies. She was missing the horns and lacked a box, but the price was right. Found the horns on ebay and just got LGB knuckle couplers for it from the shop in Zionsville that deals in G scale trains. I use the R2 15000 on my indoor layout and my Alpine Classic croc and my 2085D run well on it!
Trainworld sent me a box of original LGB 15000 when I ordered it. So at least I know it is made of Vestilene, the BASF polymer!
I only buy older Lehmann vintage LGB. Only time will tell on the new MLGB trains and track. My vintage LGB track has been outdoors on 3 different layouts for 15 years now without any major issues. I could even go back to track power if I cleaned up the joiners and put graphite paste or rail clamps on the joints. But going dead rail on the outdoor loop was the best decision I have made. The indoor overhead loop has track power option, in fact my new to me Lionel PRR Atlantic is running on track power indoors till I get battery power installed in it. Mike the Aspie
