How do we search the forum for a particular thread, if we haven't replied to that thread and it isn't in our activity log ?
Replies sorted oldest to newest
You need to know some keywords in the thread, then used the advanced search function and hope it finds them.
Some people click the like button for a topic they want to keep an eye on, thereby keeping it in their activity log with the "like".
You can also just use your local computer bookmarks, favorites, etc to keep links to interesting threads. You still will have to search through them when you want to review, but it's a much smaller subset than the forum itself.

Dan, that's one of the reasons I often put likes on topics, even if I don't actually comment. It marks them in my activity feed.
In the advanced search, I think you can put in a time frame to search between dates. That can narrow it down when looking for a specific topic.
Use the advanced search and keep your fingers crossed!! Try to narrow things down as best as you can. Sometimes you find them and sometimes you don't, at least that is how it works for me.
I haven't tried the 'Like' check box idea, but I do check the 'Follow this Topic' box at the top of threads of interest. No matter what I do though, it's still hard to find things sometimes.
Using ADVANCED SEARCH you can do a very detailed search to find almost anything. However, as with any detailed database search, you have to enter your search parameters carefully.
