I’ve been running my layout for the past two years without any faults, using a Z4000 transformer ( See attached diagram). I run only command with MTH DCS and Lionel Legacy with LCS. I use my IPad, LCS App and the CAB 2 to control switches and routes on the layout. Last year, I bought a ZW-L to use on my next layout. However, when I replaced the Z4000 with the ZW-L the PSX-1AC shows a short circuit. Switched the ZW-L with a MRC Dual Power O27 transformer and it also shorts the PSX-1AC. Reconnect the Z4000 and everything is heavenly. What am I missing? HELP!

Could be tripping the D11 diode at the input to the PSX-1AC. Maybe due to the nature of the switched ac output of the ZW-L. Remove those diodes (surface mount) and use the transient suppression recommended by GRJ. I don’t have the part # handy. But it’s 1.5 something 36.
The issue with those diodes is in the PSX instructions
Thanks cjack! I need to read the PSX instructions and review GRJ’s posts. I’m,also, going to pull the PSXs and connect to the TUI for a test run before I start tinkering.

DCC Specialties PSX1-AC 3 and 2 Rail Intelligent Circuit Breaker (tonystrains.com)
Thanks Guy, it was the PSX boards. Once I disconnected them, everything worked with the ZW-L. I’ll remove the D11 diodes and do GRJ fix later. 👏👏
