When you power the wifi module up the red light should go out after 3-5 seconds. The green light should then blink until the module wifi signal connects to the app. Is the wifi module set to access point? Has it worked in the past?

Is the BASE/ NO BASE switch set to base?
I would assume you are connected via the PID connection off the power supply and 9 pin connector if you got a light on the LCS module.
Yes it is on Base. If I switch to no base the green light comes on.
Is it set to to access point or join network? If not connecting to a home network it should be access point. I would at least start in a "stand alone" access point mode before connecting to a home network.
It is on access point. Has everyone using wifi updated to 1.6 on there base? Could there be an issue with that?
Lots of people are using 1.6 in conjunction with the LCS WiFi, I do not believe that is your problem. It might be helpful to review the LCS WiFi installation video:
Around 3 minutes in, it shows the process of connecting to the Lionel LCS-XXXX named network which is created by the LCS WiFi when in Access Point mode. Give that a try and let us know what happens.
I just checked my Iphone & Ipad & both connect too the wifi. I am using version 1.6

Same issue here. Have 1.6, using Access point mode, set to base, green light blinks consistently until IPhone says "unable to connect." Will go look again at Youtube video.
I have 1.6 using access point and set to base. For the most part it works perfectly (I can't say that about the sensor track side of the LCS system but that's another story).
You can try pulling the PDI power wall wart and plugging it back in and see if that resets things.
Also on your iPad or iPhone double click the home button this shows you active running apps. Close everything but especially the email app. Then open the LCS app and see if it connects. Or try the settings access point if you haven't been able to connect to the Lionel network.

Once again, forum members come through! You guys are just great. I had forgotten about the need to have my IPhone find and connect to the new Wi-Fi network. All now running well.
Although my wife wonders when I showed her how I can run the trains, blow the horn, etc. from upstairs. LOL.
A new worry: Will the FBI be running my trains, or will Apple prevent that?
