Hobart Tower is no more

Ha ha, Matt, at  first, I thought you were talking about Hobart IN, but of course, no ATSF there!.  Cool looking tower, sad it is going away though.

This was a Union Pacific tower, although, far and away, most of the train movements were Santa Fe.  Hobart Tower did not issue train orders for Santa Fe trains.  That was done a half mile east at an office called Hobart Telegraph.

Thanks. All these years I thought it belonged to Santa Fe because of the traffic pattern.

So sad to read this. I hope 3rd rail or one of our kit companies will consider reproducing the tower in O scale. Thanks for the report.
