Dan, I love what appears to be a fire coming out of the locomotive smoke stack. Your grandson will love it.

p51 posted:The DVD showed up with my layout on it. I watched the whole thing, they did a very good job. The only odd thing was, on the actual program itself, they showed still photographs at the end of it, and read through the captions in the original article. In effect, they wound up saying the same thing again, in a slightly different way. I got what was going on, but I think other people who watch it the first time might get a little confused.
Lee, congratulations! Well deserved.
I finally got that John Coker Tweetsie print framed, as the frame I ordered just showed up this evening. I think it looks really good along that wall, on the far left. With the exception of the replica Baldwin Builders plate on the far right, everything else is either original to the railroad, or a replica of it.
Mike you could always use the HO track for amusement rides or sell it for money for the Menard's Brewery that Mark is making for us.
Hi Coach, I thought about selling it, but not sure yet. I just thought I might put a single track in the back for distance. But if someone was interested I would probably sell it! But not the print in the frame! I like that one!
Mike, that's a downright insane haul for so little!
That's the type of score most HO guys can only dream of.
JD,
Picked up some Lionel 8" Christmas Balls for the Train Room, they arrived just yesterday. They will hang off the over head shelf Train layout, all the way around the room.

Lee, I know its crazy. the ladies husband passed away about 4 years ago and all of it had been sitting on a shelf for 5 years. Now she has to move because of health reasons and is having a sale where everything must go. She also has auto to go with them but couldn't find them at the time. But told me if she finds them she will call me and there mine for free! She says its part of the set for the original $25!
Mike-great haul. I like the idea of a HO loop in the back of the layout. I've been toying with putting a single line up above my layout eventually. I have tons of HO stuff and it would be nice to be able to run it.
Bob
I agree Bob, HO or O its all fun to run. I just thought it might give it some depth!
Picked up this mike at the Amherst train show, West Springfield, Ma for 950.00 from CharlesRO. Doubled headed with NH ten wheeler. It’s really nice with legacy to have different engines, with different gearing being able to run side by side perfectly.
Nice Engine Gary!
Got a great deal on a set of Williams 027 passenger cars. Since I’m a toy and not scale guy, I adore these. I’m also not a purist and will pull them with anything. Right now being pulled by a starter set MTH Southern loco p3.
I can also report that they are really well made. Solid. Metal trucks, etc. I’m going to look for more. Wish they had them in Amtrak livery, I want 027 Amtrak cars badly.
I like the BEEF's Dan.
Mighty tempting for a guy with an 027 layout
Bob
I found this 3459 in a junk lot, and despite some rust on the trucks and some dirt on the surface, I think I got a pretty good deal for $20.
I have to check though for dry, cracked wires...

They're having a "Blowout" sale on whatever Beefs are left in their warehouse. Do it Bob !!!!!
I've got a few good deals off Craigslist
Scored another one last night. Picked up a MTH 0-4-0 work train set in B&O livery. I have one of these 0-4-0's already and they are nice little switchers. This one is # 97, the one I have is # 99. No track or transformer but for $60.00 bucks hard to pass up.
Only 4 of these engines were built for the B&O back in the day. The other two were numbered 96, 98.

I'm loving mine, and with the deep discount I received on the four PRR PEEP carriages, it looks great on my track. The only issue is the PEEPs are a slightly darker brown color.
As for me, I grabbed another Marx tower. I'll probably find this and the Radio Tower a home close by one another on the layout. A little TLC and it'll look great out there.

What kind of caboose would that be; a bay window work caboose, bay window drovers?
I really like it.

It looks like it's an all original. I've seen some in worse condition than this go for over $100. Interesting to note though that the A and D on the door side have their holes full with the blue ink. I've seen a couple with the O in Lionel filled, but not the A and D.
Always wanted one of these, but missed it when it first came out. Just lucked out when Grzyboski's picked up a massive train collection - this one was new, still in it's shipper. Check off one more NY Central steamer from my list!!!
These came in the mail on Saturday from the fine folks at Scale City Designs. Very quick turnaround time and a quality product for sure. Will be ordering a few more shortly.
Just got these green 2400, 2401, 2402, passenger cars in the mail today. First thing I did, took them down stairs and rewired them. These are the second set of these green cars I have. I'm kinda partial to these 027 postwar passenger cars, I have several sets.

Not quite sure. I've never seen one like it before. Almost the reason I bought the set.
Found a close prototype.

I like the postwar passenger sets also. Although I do not own the green set (yet), I do have the red stripe, blue stripe, red letter, grey roof and General sets.

Nice looking set.
I have two sets of the red lettering. One set I added the 2435 Elizabeth, the other set I put together w/ another 2435 Elizabeth and instead of 2436 Summit observation, I added the 2436 Mooseheart observation.
Really happy to add this LC Amtrak set to my cork floor empire. It has all the problems and charms the plane vanilla LC has, but it is massive fun none the less. Here’s a video of it in action along with some other trains.
I searched for this and finally found it at Pats Trains. Thanks, Pat!
By the way, the engine headlight is not mars, it just strobes on the video but not to the eye.
