1:48. Brass. Weathered - apparently in a hurricane storm surge. Just got it yesterday. It will either go on a flatcar as a load ("Just pulled this one out of the bayou, boss; thought it was lost for good"), or attach some trucks given a treatment that approximates the actual weathering on the car - spot it in a setting similar to the one below.

Taken 2012 or so at Mobile Rosin Company; old company, but still in business; these old tankers were scrapped sometime in the last 5 years. Note the old, plain-bearing trucks, long not permitted in interchange service. These cars had not moved for years.
I'm going to try to figure out a way to "decal" (just a few hints) the model a bit without destroying the car's, ahem, "patina".
Hard to believe that those "wandering gauge" tracks where my friend is standing were an important route to hotels and deep-sea fishing in south Mobile County in the 19th Century - the old Bay Shore Line of the Mobile and Ohio.
Only light industrial use, now.
