I'll take one...
Lou, Those are really handsome cars!
Lee, That is a great buy! I always like Western Maryland!

Wait a minute! I almost have enough to model this, just need one more
Scored these while looking for something else on eBay. The shipping was more than the cars, total $22.50. Brand new, still wrapped in the cellophane.
John, I didn’t know you were a NASCAR guy? I think it’s funny to see the Winston Cup logo. I say some Camel cigarrrete biz cars at a train show one day and have to laugh. People would be outraged at that today
Wow, that's a great find John! Would make a nice train with them all of they are made!

I’ll give it to him next week when I see him! I’ll also be looking for a girls train car for his twin sister when I get to York tomorrow. And a Brio Thomas for their little brother.
NC Dave
I’m from East Tn and in York already for Thursday and a quick walk through Friday before heading home PM Friday.
I’m not familiar with either of the cars you’re hunting for the kids, but my e mail is in profile and I will gladly keep a watch full eye open and tell my two friends as well if you want any extra help. We can trade cell numbers for contact if you want.
Zap me a e mail. Happy hunting.
Larry
Erwin, TN.
Ask me again after our local (Altoona PA) train show on November 4.
Yes, York parking lot on Tuesday: A 233 AC Hudson for $65 and a New Haven Box car (900 Series) for $20. Really didn't want another engine, but I like the Flyer Hudson and said if I could find it for $65, I was buying it.
Scored a couple UP SDP35's from Matt!
Picked these up at the Danbury Railway Museum yesterday. I got Vol. 2 & 3 (3 signed by the author). Have to keep my eye out for Vol. 1. They have some cool pics of the Goldens Bridge area where my brother lives. You can still see some of the abandoned bridges throughout the area.
Here is a link to a thread I started on my visit to the museum.
Double congratulations Lee!! That is a great deal on a great car! I have one of those flat cars with PRR trailers. Watch the ramps. There are little pins on the sides of the ramps that they pivot on. I don’t even know how, but one of the pins broke off. Lionel parts didn’t have any when I looked, but I’m not sure how I would get it replaced anyway.
A month or so ago I bought a used book on Pennsy steam. Finally got around to reading it -what a great read !! It is "PENNSY STEAM: A SECOND LOOK" by Paul Carleton. Loads of good photos and lots of technical and engineering info but doesn't get boring or cluttered. Kind of a book you want to read again to go over all the technical details and design info he included.
Many moons ago I was scouting out the Bessemer & Lake Erie mainline north of Butler, Pa. there was a short branch off the main line that went to a coal cleaning plant. There were two of those PRR trailers sitting there in pretty decent shape, My father-in-law drove for the truck line.
Wow, Jim that’s something the trailers were still there! Also that your father-in-law drove for them
Got all these at York. The lighting kits from GUNRUNNERJOHN was the only thing on my list. A couple of uncoupli, ng tracks, the loads for the 65 foot mill gondolas and 2 bay wood chip hoppers came from Don Kane. I finally found some period vehicles for 10 dollars apiece, found some red LED lights and resistors at Dallee plus a PS-1 Lionel flat car with covered load for a decent price. Pics................Paul
Paul, Don certainly does a nice job on the car loads. The vehicles you got look good as well!
Picked up at a estate sale Lionel postwar Santa Fe freight Alcos 204 with boxes. Nice shape except motor was locked up from old lubricant. Cleaned and oiled, now runs like new.
A lot of activity at York! I finally scored a few things as well.
I actually received the Legacy Reading T1 in the mail while I was down at York, so I kinda' figure that's a York purchase. NIB and never opened for $850 shipped. The K-Line Tank Engine was a York purchase, also NIB for $400. Both appear to be fully functional with my brief bench test, that's good news as well.
Scored a six car set of K-Line C&O 18" heavyweights in one of the member halls, $150 which I thought was a decent price.
Henning's had a bunch of these, so I got one, I decided I needed one after I got to play with one there.
Free stuff is always good, I got these 26" bridge sides from a friend for free, he decided against the project that they were intended for.
The best "free stuff" score was a whole box of left over Mianne benchwork! Lots of stuff for my already planned yard expansion, should really cut down the price of the upgrade! The whole front row is the 4 foot sections, great stuff!
I also got a couple of Lionel SC2 controllers in the free column, they'll be useful.
John, are there supposed to be pictures in there? I can’t see em
How's that Matt?

It might be fixed now, but when I first loaded the thread I couldn't see them either (Matt's not crazy ). (it was text and if I clicked it would only take me to the login screen of another website)
Looks OK now though.
-Dave
I attached them to the post, so there should be no issue seeing them now.
Sweet, nice scores. The Miane was a good score too
Yep, the Mianne benchwork pieces put a smile on my face, I didn't expect a big box of it like that. I was struggling to carry it downstairs! However, I have to do some more upgrades to pay for all this stuff!
I need parts to do the ones on my project shelf. Hopefully Scott will get the cruise boards done soon.
Wow, John! You must have sold a ton of Super Chuffers and LED driver kits to buy all that great stuff! Both engines and the passenger cars look great!!!
Mark, I'm afraid the York sales didn't cover the expenditures.
Somehow I had a notion that was the case, John!!
