I received this Natty Bo reffer a couple weeks ago from Mr. Muffin's Trains.  This is an Atlas O car which I pre-ordered in late April 2020.  I find the car's overall detail to be stunning!  Clear sharp graphics, great door hinges and ladders.  This welcome addition to my fleet will be beer car number 13 in my collection beer cars.   IMG_6393

Great finds fellows, actually I just purchased a slightly used Lionel Legacy 765 Steamer from a friend that lives near me, so it was hand delivered Friday. This version is the 2014 version with the working Mars light, and the sounds are amazing. AD9E067D-1CE9-4221-86AA-42E227AE1ACC0EA255B6-93BD-44D1-8F02-E8A10622D2D6

Larry, that's a great looking steam engine! I am still working on my funds build up to get a UP Steam engine from a forum member that is holding it for me! I just reduced all my prices to try and get there sooner! LOL

Walked into a Harbor Freight this weekend, 2nd time in 3 years. I always find at least one deal. They have a table up front of "as is" deals. This was an Airbrush Compressor with sprayer. Not high end, but about $100 off retail. The box was beat up badly with lots of tape. The gal said everything was there or there would be a note of missing parts. Also told me I could bring back in 5 days for full refund. Got home and everything perfect and still in factory wrapping. Pretty good start kit especially for someone (like me) who has no idea how to use an air brush!

Thank you very much Mike g., I’m like you, I sold a Legacy Santa Fe AC6000, Legacy Milwaukee Road GP35, and a little cash. The selling and swapping of train items makes it fun and a heck of a lot more affordable, and this buy was with a close friend of mine. My friend asked me to help him sell the steamer and I made him an offer, now it’s mine. I like the OGR For Sale, and the OGR wanted to buy forums. Happy Railroading Everyone

This has been a bit of a multiweek project and is still in progress, but a whole lot of Legos for a semi-custom O gauge compatible Lego Train. The engine uses an MTH bump and go trolley chassis and is surprisingly more powerful than expected, I've got it here pulling it's 4 car train of a tender, baggage(WIP), coach, and caboose, but I've managed to get as many as 8 traditional sized cars rolling on a level surface.

Patrick B.,

Awesome! You must be really pleased with the results. That MTH chassis is "ripping" down the track but then bump and go trolleys do tend toward hyper speeds :-).

Thanks for posting.

Thanks! I was inspired by a post I saw on a Lego forum about a guy who's son joined an O gauge club, so he built an O gauge Camelback steamer entirely out of Legos so he had something to run when he went to his son's events. I'm nowhere near as creative as that guy though so I just settled for rebuilding one of the early 2000s "My Own Train" kits that I had as a kid and mounting the engine and cars to pre-existing trucks.

Sunday I bought some Lionel trains and papers that were for sale on the internet locally. Yesterday I picked them up and when I got them home I did the usual, take apart the engine and tender, cleaned, rewired, oil and greased them. Tested them on my layout, they work perfectly. From what I figured out, this is set 1419ws from 1947.

I guess I’ll make my first addition to this thread. After 8 years in this hobby, I finally bought a new Legacy engine. I’ve wanted a CSX heritage program, but Lionel came around with the B&O sd70. I love it. Being able to use the app was nice. Now I just need to get around to building a permanent layout!E7F2AFD7-AB10-4561-83E7-3F7F75836E25168D4BF5-BE36-440A-95F0-1A9578191A3E055A4609-7FCF-4FDA-BD90-8BA5DFC2424CC06FC468-60F4-407A-AC08-F6B7D78513E5

Csxelllent........really a looker.    You gotta get that layout going . This locomotive should look great roaring down the rails. 😉

Just tracked down a Lionel vision line SP GS6 #4460! Currently waiting for it to be shipped 😎91714E9B-B648-4CE8-AA06-EBEAC96EC98D

Very nice purchase N&WGuy, you must have it by now, I would hope. Enjoy! I have it's cousin, WP GS-64-77 #485, only mine is just TMCC from 2004. I'm a GS junky, they are my favorite Northern class locomotive. You may already know that the SP GS-6's 4460-4469 were manufactured next to WP GS-64-77 481-486. WP piggy backed SP's order in 1943. It's a interesting situation, as WP and SP were mortal enemies! Have fun with all those Vision Line features.

Thanks! I did get it late last week, but unfortunately I had to send it right back out to Lionel because the drivers had some sort of serious binding issue. I gotta wait 6 - 8 weeks for it to get repaired and shipped back to me now, lol. That's an interesting fact, I hadn't heard about that!

Oh Man, sorry to hear that! Let's hope it doesn't take 6-8 weeks! I've noticed in the last year or so Lionel Support has stepped up their game, so hopefully you'll get it back sooner. I recently had to have both of my Cab-2 Legacy remotes repaired by Lionel, and they turned them around in a week! However, I live on the west coast and it was 5 days there and 5 days back. Let's hope you got it in before the Holiday rush too!

Franktrain: What a beautiful set, early MPC from 1971 and complete with the box.  By the way, if you want to see pictures of your missing boxcar, the Lionel #9200 IC boxcar from 1970-71, just look at my post on "Mid-West Monday" from 9/27.  Just by coincidence I used that very car for my post that Monday, I had just received it from e-bay so those cars are out there and the cost is modest.

Great Find, best wishes

Don

I’m a little late posting pictures of some of my York haul.  I purchased a Lionel Legacy PRR U28C Diesel from a forum. member in the parking lot. Inside a bought a LionScale PRR Stock Car. Plus a couple of gondolas for my grandsons to put their army men in. And for my grand daughter I got her a Chessie tee shirt. I’m looking forward to next years meet.
