Bought a Lionel 2020 turbine from a forum member plus the Toonerville trolley station found a nice home on my layout.

Today, I got the Lionel N&W 9111, the Lionel Penn Central 297, and a Swinging Set.
See up at one our two annual local shows in Asheville this weekend and traded some things with a nice older fella who had 4 K-Line 21" cars that had been Amtrak. Coach, Diner, Dome Sleeper, and Dome Observation. I was most pleased to get these - my first set of the 80' cars. At this time, I'm planning to letter them for the Southern and find a a few additional cars to go with these. Perhaps an 18" Baggage and maybe a Combine...
1956 Ferguson TO35. Came w/a blade (pictured), 5' brush hog (albeit in need of repair), and 3 other implements.
It will help me keep the property up. The sooner I get things done outside, the sooner I can go back to trains....

If only my layout could look so realistic....
Haven't bought too much lately so today I splurged. Not a RR item but bought it from my antique dealer i do business with. A 1/6 scale M5 Stuart tank. Really cool. Too large for my layout but always wanted an M5.

Thats cool!!! How about some pictures?
I am doing a few repairs and will post a photo later. It is pretty cool. Used liquid soap to lube the turret when it turns.
If you tell us this actually runs and or you can drive it. Not only photos but video is a must. Looking forward to this one!!
It is 1/6 scale-a large model. Some have electric power and radio control, mine doesn't. There are a few busted things on it which I am fixing. I did own a Ford-built British Bren Gun carrier some years ago. I got rid of it to keep my wife !! She had something against tracked armored vehicles. They tend to be heavy.
Sounds neat Jim. I'm jumping on the "pics" bandwagon too.
As an alternate option, do you know bar soap makes for a decent dry lube? Though dish soap works best before it dries, bar soap doesn't collect dust and dirt as easy, and over time, won't run/creep or change consistency if let to sit.

Not to mention they take up a lot of room on the driveway. When I was stationed in Germany I had bought a M1009. My wife swore she would never drive or be seen in it. When I PCSed to MacDill, I sold it at a nice profit. Once here a couple of months later I bought M1028A1. Now I debating wither to buy an Itis or a HUMVEE. Had wanted to buy a 5t M925A2 or a M931A2. Wife just rolled her eyes.
Today USPS brought my two LOTS cars. And they look much better in person. Even my wife agreed I made a good purchase. Pics...............Paul
Paul-I like the Yuengling boxcar, like their beer, too!! Got my Lionel 2020 from Joe today. Really nice. Clean and runs good.
I was at the taxidermist picking up some fish my uncle had done and I saw these Zebra skin coasters. I thought they were pretty cool so I got a set.

Good question! I have been collecting the Lifesavers tank cars and other candy themed cars, so maybe some of those.
With two shows coming up I was trying to control myself but broke down and bought a nice Lionel 2020 then Sat. I was looking around my favorite antique store at the Lionel cars he had just acquired. There was a very nice NW2, an Evans auto loader plus other cars, all in excellent condition. none that I needed then I spotted a really nice 2065 which came home with me.
Got a near-mint Marx 333 and the three Meteor streamlined NYC passenger cars at a train show last week.
I've had my eye on this AMTRAK bubble dome at my LHS, Brentwood Antiques. MTH 20-68151 Amtrak Vista Dome #Silver Lodge (Short Dome, MTH cataloged this as a full dome). Strange that there are no station side doors for boarding. I have it between two other cars that have station side doors.
Rich cut me a deal on it before he left for York.
Been a bit since I post anything I bought or acquired. But this yeah!!! Well after a 3yr search and quite a few auctions lost . I have finally acquired a 3rd Rail CB&Q NE 7 Wood Way Car!!!!!! Ok Very cool for me.
