Picked these up at the Kirkland Ohio show today. Going to see if I can use these to power some dc modules I bought to control Menards buildings. The modules are adjustable dc..............Pic..............Paul
TRAINPLACE, If you would like the IT Green matching Lionel Standard O Caboose, I have one you may purchase. If interested, my email is (Larrylevin71@yahoo.com). I can send pictures, it's brand new in the box...That's a beautiful engine. Happy Railroading...
Brad Rock, that's a beautiful 773 Hudson, is it a 1950 Version? Thank you for posting.

Where did you get the lift rings?
Not a buy, but I got this great MTH Premier PRR USRA 0-6-0, caboose and a few other cars from Marc Williams on a trade.

Thanks Larry, but already got one. Surprised how "faded" the lionel green is on it compared to MTH!

On eBay; a seller in Washington State going by the handle of "j-tprantle". Lots of good detail parts.

TRAINPLACE, there sure is a color difference. I wonder if the Lionel Version of the engine matches the Caboose? Thanks for posting...The Illinois Terminal color scheme is nice....

Let's see if the railfanning video works!
First train show in 20 years. It was a fun day!
Tim, Love the green on that IT Engine.
Mark, I'm a sucker for anything PRR, especially steam but I have always been partial to the B6. Enjoy it.
Pat,
Thank you very much! Now I have it and a PRR A5. Both are really nice. These, some WM, and some B&O engines are making a nice Pennsylvania and West Virginia roster (two states I have lived in) that will be able to handle the load on my new layout I'm almost ready to start building.
I found this giant 4' x 6' movie poster that was originally displayed in a city bus shelter. I confess I've never seen the movie and don't intend to... the animation creeps me out (uncanny valley). Anyway, it's a cool image and will definitely be a conversation piece once I get my dedicated train room going in a few years

Too bad you haven't seen it. Its pretty good! And that film put new life into Lionel!
Jim
I've seen bits and pieces of it but probably never in the right order nor all at once. Agreed, thanks to that movie for the energy it continues to infuse into the hobby!
leapinlarry posted:Brad Rock, that's a beautiful 773 Hudson, is it a 1950 Version? Thank you for posting. Yes itit is, 1950 production with a die-cast 2426W tender. Bought it a a recent local train meet from a gentleman set-up across the asile from me at the meet. I waited until the show was about to end before making an offer. I passed on a 1964 version at the October York and am much happier with this one, guess it was just ment to be. Now on the hunt at York for the matching 1950 Madison passenger cars with the window sihouettes.
I got my Wire Harness a week early and Installed it. Now just charging the batteries and I thing my MTH PS2 Big Boy will be good to go.
My suitcase is packed!
What is inside?
It even has an optional venting system. You can simply vent it out a window.
The only thing wish they would have designed the vent system to be a quick attach system instead of removing and re-installing four screws.
Picked this up yesterday so I can better watch train porn...

I counted my chicken before it hatched... the post office delivered a battered package which was opened and no poster inside. D--- you USPS!!!
Can't even count the number of times I've ordered bar stock or angle brass for scratch building and had an empty cardboard tube arrive. I get it. Sad, yes?
Well that sucks, Garrett. How frustrating and disappointing...

What is this called and where do I get one?

Hi Tom,
Fortunately the local toy train shop had one (set) in stock. This is a "Micro-Mark" product. #86104 Not sure if it is made for them or they just sell them. The MSRPs are $120.00 for spray booth, $18.00 each for vent set and five extra replacement filters set. Last week I noted that Micro-Mark had the Spray Booth on sale for $100.00 on their web-site.

Bought these two UH-34D helicopters today on sale at Michaels. The plan is to build and use em for flat car loads. Don't know how prototypical it will be. Don't care actually. Just think they will be cool on a flat car.

My dad flew H-34s a LONG time ago! He's built several of those kits!
Heck, I rode in them in Germany as a grunt. We started in the earlier version. Big radial engine in front.
Mark: If you're going to use the H-34s as flatcar loads, prototypical practice would be to remove the main rotor blades and ship them separately on the flatcar (also makes going through tunnels easier....).
Just missed flying these (our squadron had just upgraded to Hueys). I had an instructor that flew them; he said that R-1820 radial up front was one good bullet-bouncer....
The early ones didn't have enough power to go over some of the German ridges(mountains) I was told. We trained for vertical assaults with our M-1s, BARs and Browning machine guns. Fun
Mark, at 1:48 scale that may wind up being a bit big for a flatcar load. I bought a 1:48 model of Huey a long time ago for the same purpose and it was longer than the 10-1/2 inch flatcars available in the early 90's. It might work on the scale flats or maybe even the 14 inch Menards flats. I think the helos used by Menards are actually smaller than 1:48.
First and foremost, I want to thank everyone for their dedication and service to this great country. D&H 65. Thank you for the info on proper shipping procedures. I will do as you suggested. My plan is to use Weaver bulkhead flats for the main body and rotor transport. I measured the body and it looks like about 12" long from nose to tail rotor. Once I start this project I will post photos as I progress. I'm not a rivet counter and I do not mean to offend anyone. I'm not sure if the Weaver bulkhead flats are the correct cars to use, but I have a few extra PRR bulkhead flats that I will use.

I found some parts on the Train Tender's site and he sent them to me in a flash. The red lamp cover I found on Ebay for a reasonable price. The only parts I am having trouble finding are the "Track adapters". Part number 350-62, for O and O27 track. They are nothing more than bent wire that slips into the rails of tubular track. They are held to the transfer table by the Adapter brackets.
The adapter set and the wire harness are available from Just Trains, as is a controller. I bought one on EBay; can't wait to get it up and running.

Amen to what Mark said! Thank you everyone for serving our country!
Mark, it sounds like you have a plan well in hand for hauling these beasts!
Just got all this stuff in the mail, the trucking company stuff is made by Mohawk Designs, the same outfit that makes a lot of those other ET&WNC related t-shirts.
The builders plate is a plastic casting, scored off eBay. It weighs next to nothing, and it won't take much touch up to make a really good looking wall hanging out of that thing.
It is a very good copy of the number plate that was on ET&WNC number 9, which that plate actually still exists. A collector yanked it off of the locomotive as it got scrapped, and it's in a collection today.
Nice find Lee! I will keep my eyes open you never know what you can find for other people!
Thanks, Mike!
Here's the plastic number plate hung up above the layout. I just had to do some touch up paint and get a hanger onto the back of it.
From the angle, and that it would be a few feet away from anybody getting close enough to it, I think it could actually fool some people into thinking it's an original one.
Not bad for 21 bucks, including postage.
