Frank, I noticed that all those hoppers have reporting marks for Northwestern Oklahoma Railroad. Did CN purchase NOKL? I checked their website and there is nothing on the map to show they even go into Oklahoma.
Curious,
Larry
I've got CN 8825, another one of MTH's fine Premier SD70M-2's; and I've currently got it partnered with a MTH Premier Western Pacific ACe, 1983. These boys make a nice duo.
BTW, in my opinion, MTH delivered a better sound file for their SD70 series models, as compared to their GEVO models. The GEVOs are visually lookers, but their sound files are lacking. In my opinion, real GEVO's are the meanest sounding units, on North American rails.
I don't like the windshields in the MTH GEVO's, either. They've got a weird edging around them, that catches the light inside the cab; and that doesn't look good to me.

Canadian National just got former OAKWAY SD60 diesels, with spartan cabs. Now you are going to have to remove the number decals in order to renumber your SD50 to match the nearly identical SD60s.
Andrew
Most of the photos posted have not shown up on the new forum.
What about the real CN SD60 diesels?
Andrew
Andrew they were showing when I posted mine. But there seems to have lost pictures moving from the old OGR to the new.

I just ordered a G scale cab from these guys. It will convert
a USA trains SD40-2 into something with a comfort cab. I always wanted a SD70ACE or SD70M-2 in G scale. I want to try and scratch build something modern from EMD. I should try and get a whole SD70MAC shell, I have to decide on a prototype. I will need some CN expert help probably! Joe

maybe a target of my conversion?
Hey Joe, That should be a fun project. I didm't know you were into G also. That link looks like the safety/comfort cab should be pretty cool. I have a friend near Ottwa that is into G and O also. I am bot sure what he has done for his equipment. He is on the forum but is so busy that I am not sure that he gets on a lot especially in the good weather. I will send him a link to this page.
Keep us posted to your progress.
Joe, Do you have any updated pictures of the Diesel shop you built with the LED LIGHTING? Could you post some of them here. Thanks.
Joe, Thanks for the picture. It looks like you added the sanding facility. I like your looks of the shop. I am looking at maybe a 75" long ABBA shopfor my E-8's and PA's. Don't jave a lot of head room so I have to be very low at the entry point and then can get up to about 71/2". What is your opening clear from the top of rail and what is your max building height? Thanks Joe, Bill
Here's some old pics:
https://ogrforum.com/d...658#2415514336541658
the building is 18 1/2"W X60 1/2"L X 10 1/4"H overall (3/8" trim on top)
the opening is 15 1/2"W X 6"Tall both (heights are from railhead)
I bet you could cut it down as there's a lot of overhead room inside.
Oh yeah, that sanding tower is waiting for remodeling! It's just sitting there until the rebuild.
I'm still drooling over your oil refinery
Joe thanks for the info. I wish I could get a little more height but so far I can't atleast for the first 18"I think I can only get 4 1/2" opening clearnce with roof at 51/2"but then I can get up to 7 1/2" for the roof height. I think it will be 22 1/2" wide for 6 tracks. I am thinking about a high bay area iwhere I have the room.
Thanks for the nice comments on the refinery.
I like your CSX SHOP
