Just got this batch of weird track with some standard gauge stuff I found. It is 1 7/8" between the 1st and 3rd rail. It has these neat twisted metal connectors to join the tracks. All of the ties are labeled with four letters which look like C I D and a backwards C. I am guessing European and very early?  Or ?? I have no idea.

There are 18 full length, 14" straight pieces, several half, third and a quarter short pieces, and two full length pieces with neat electrical connectors built in.

I am sure someone in this group knows who made these and what type of trains they are for. Does anyone need these? Any idea of value?

How great is that. A website dedicated to toy train track. Thank you for sharing this information. I appreciate it. Here is the illustration from the track website and it certainly matches the track I have. Leave it to the Germans to mark the track D for straight track! If anyone has any interest in this track, let me know. I would sell it reasonably or trade it for original prewar standard gauge track. Thanks.
