Anyone know where I can get scale-looking Pennsy RR style handrail stanchions? These are cast iron and have a long, isosceles triangle appearance.

Those are the ones I want. I've sent Al an eMail requesting if he sells them separately or, if he gets them from somewhere else, who is that "somewhere else"? We'll see what he says.
Steve Grabowski makes exactly what you want. They are dead on, even to the point of having the upper hole larger than the lower. You can get them from ProtoCraft:

They come out very nice:

Those look pretty good, but you might want to ask Neal Schorr (PRRMiddleDivision). He has the real ones in his train room!

The ones pictured were available from Bowser at one time. Bowser has downsized their parts inventory significantly. Designed for brass wire railings each has a single pin on the bottom for installation.
Bowser still sells them. They're pewter and cost $0.50 each. That's a good price and won't break the bank if I need a bunch of them.
Been away for a few days with family.

NO offense but you get what you pay for. White metal and Pewter don't match brass for sturdiness & longetivity.
I don't know about you, but I find butt gluing metal to wood to be dubious at best and awful at worst.
Have you tried JB Weld epoxy?
Yes. I use it all the time. But I'd still like to use it with alignment pins.
What is the railing stanchion spacing? It looks like 6 feet. I'm getting ready to purchase the Bowser stanchions and will have two 30" bridges on which to put a railing on one side. The bridges are 120 scale feet.
I've answered my own question. In some cases it looks like around 7 feet, but I'm restricted to the tie spacing on Ross track which puts the spacing at about 10 feet. I'm going to need 24 stanchions for the two 120 foot Deck Truss Bridges I'm building.
