I have a 4-6-2 Lionel Lines Traditional Steam Engine. It says it has "signal sounds". I can only get the bell and whistle sound. Is there supposed to be chugging? Even the whistle and bell work poorly. They only sound good when the engine is in neutral.

Signal sounds is just whistle & bell.
Thanks for the info. Always appreciate your help! I have a similar NYC Hudson with Command and it has so much more life.
It actually probably didn't cost any more for Lionel to put full sounds in the "Signal Sounds" models, they just wanted to differentiate them for marketing purposes I suspect.
