That Lake Erie and Roberts Bay was real?  The only Roberts Bay I know is in Africa, I figured it was a joke.

The paint scheme is real; the railroad is fictional.  What GE was thinking,  I dunno.

Mitch, I certainly wasn't expecting that!!  I'm looking forward to seeing what this project turns into!!

The exhaust stack?  Yeah, will have to shift that an inch or so over.  But that's what razor saws are for!

Or mount the pan over the radiator fan, but I can't see that doing the cooling system or the pantograph much good.  ;-)

Seconded!  The bunny is adorable!  Needs a little gi-raffe to make the scene complete!

Did not do much to the layout this week end. I did do a little bit of running Friday. i did work on straightening up my shelves and cleaning them. I hope to finish cleaning Monday so I can get some running in. Getting the jitters having a very bad case of O Gauge withdraw. I going to try and learn how to post some pictures this week.  working on the EA&J railroad just like the song. I will put a Box Car Willie CD in while working today.

Finally left Raleigh, NC and have settled in Scotland, Pa. near Chambersburg.  Will have half a house to live in and play. The living room is about 12 ft. x 18 ft. and where the train layout  will be.  I  want a long dogbone loop or loops with a 072 curves, one loop O gauge, the other Standard. Possibly two O gauge loops. there are two doors, one on each short end which have to be open so that restricts my practical space to about 8x 12 ft.  Not ready to build anything yet but gives me time to "plan" layouts in my head. Have a CSX  secondary track about 1/4 mile away.

I like redneck stuff, but when I am building I just crank the old time rock!

Bryan, real nice job on the pedestrian walkway in the Midway. I like your thought process. After redoing the grain elevator I don't think I can adapt it for the area I have. So for the time being that has been moved off the table. I finished painting the Sur Sweet building kit and attached the chimney. The building is all done. So now my thought is to use that building as a Feed store and tractor sales place with some smaller grain silos for wheat loading and unloading and a track for unloading tractors from flat cars. I think this will work better with the footprint I have to work with. Pics.............Paul

Put this in the wrong place so I moved it over here!

Hi guys and gals, Had to take down my lift bridge so the CEO could turn the office/train work room into a 2nd guest bedroom. But that's ok cause the CEO gave the green light to start the build of the future train room. I pour concrete on Friday and pick up lumber Saturday!

great news Mike, looking forward to lots of pix along the way. Let's hope the typical pacific northwest weather doesn't slow you down.

snapshotFirst off Glen, great looking fence!

Ok Guys the new train room is an addition to the back of my heated garage. The room it self will be 12' W X 24' L, only one window but that's ok who need windows when you have trains! It going to be a slow build as I am on a fixed income that's why no more buying train stuff till its done! But hell I am just happy to get started!

As far as a track plan, I have one that Moonman Carl worked up for me but still want to tweak it alittle.

SWEET!!!!  You will have all kinds of room!   And since its added to the garage you wont have to leave any of the 12x24 for work space!!!!   SUPER COOL!!!
