Wiring MTH Firehouse(30-9102) to AIU

Has anyone wired an MTH Firehouse (30-9102) to an AIU. I followed the instructions that came with the AIU and it does not work. It does work when I connect it convetionally to a transformer using the instructions that came with the firehouse. But when I wire it to the AIU using the wiring instructions that came with the AIU I only get lights but cannot operate the firehouse. Are the instructions wrong?

I have tried a few different wiring combinations but no results. Any suggestions? Any help would be appreciated.

The DCS O Gauge Companion 2nd Edition, pages 75-81, has several examples regarding how to wire different MTH accessories to the AIU. Page 80, in particular, has a wiring diagram for the MTH Firehouse.

 

This and a whole lot more is all in MTH’s “The DCS O Gauge Companion 2nd Edition", available for purchase as an eBook or a printed book at MTH's web store!

Thanks Barry, I have this manual and had tried the suggested wiring diagram for firehouse but did not work. It seems to get a little frustrating at something that should be simple.
