Bought 3 of the die cast reproductions of the prewar scale cars at the OKC train show. Now I have the full set and the repo 0-6-0 to pull them - if it can.
Went to the Medina Ohio show today and came home with these. Ballast which I always pick up from Brummy there but at one table I spotted these telephone poles and could not pass them up. $2.00 for the four plus extra parts to finish off the one. Pics............Paul

On my visit to Chicago this weekend, one of my brothers gave me a box of things he got almost free from an O Gauger.
I would like to figure a way to wire some of the low profile yard lights to indicate the orientation of a couple of remote atlas switches.

After much searching, I managed to snag a K-Line 21" Superliner Amtrak sleeper (1 down 3 to go) and an original 6464-725 in orange. Man, collecting is hard. Waited a month and a half to find Superliners until 3 popped up on eBay.

A MTH scale premier big boy protosounds. If you check out our club post under the announcements section here, you will see it running. Quite well it did. It is posted on page 6 of that thread there. Best part is A.C. paid for 1/2 of it so Borgata owns the tender and part of the cab. LOL! Got an excellent deal on it. Beautiful engine that MTH produced.
Ted, I saw your Big Boy on the Announcements! Just in time for making clearance decisions on the Ocean County layout!!

These were delivered from Z-Stuff yesterday... bought two of their smart signals at York and love them. Can't wait to get them installed (even if it involves more wiring!!!).
And here are some of the goodies I picked up at Grzyboski's on National Lionel Train Day Saturday.

I never got to see 2839 under steam, that was too early in life for me to have gone looking for her in the SRR steam program as I was a kid then.
Ah, 4501. An old friend. I saw her in green-gold when I was 4 years old, going through my hometown (a rare ferry move over the SCL). Saw her a few times afterward, but always cold. Finally saw her running for the second time last year, much closer and personal, and got to ride behind her from TVRM to Summerville, GA and back. Man, what a day...
i hope to go see the 4501 this summer

I’ve never been much of a steam engine guy (only have 3 on my entire “roster”), but I decided to add a 4th during during Nassau Hobby’s “Black Friday Sale” over Thanksgiving weekend.
This Lionel Legacy Erie Heavy Mikado was already marked down on Charlie’s website, but with the additional 15% discount AND free shipping bringing the price down to $850 delivered, I couldn’t resist the temptation!
A great-looking engine with all the Legacy bells and whistles (pun intended), and whistle steam to boot. And the best part is that it worked flawlessly right out of the box!

Well I am not much into stock cars. In fact have two never opened that are part of 6-car sets. Now if someone made the Pennsy rebuilt old round tops would have brought one.
But never realized that double decker stock cars were made in O until seeing Patrick's (Trumptrain). Did an ebay for Lionel found some. When finding out that his was a K-Line searched and found a NIB (sealed box) K-line car at Grzboski's for $35.00.

Wow, I thought I was the only one that wanted the Pennsy round roof ones. I'll find some Lionel X-31's and cut them up, then everyone will make them.

Gene, I was beginning to think I was the only one. But with the reality of tooling cost figured never happen.
I had two MTH RK round tops that thought about transforming. But probably could not find any acceptable 'white" decals.
my Std. Gauge track order arrived this morning, from USA Track LLC.
Grabbed a LC Thomas the Tank Engine so he can run alongside the Pennsy my son is getting for Christmas. I need to grab a transformer for it though so I don't accidentally place any of my other units on the DC tracks (running the LC's on a wall wart right now) and ruin them.
Grabbed a bunch of 10" straight track and O36 curve track, as well as a manual switch for a siding thanks to the Kohl's megasale deal. Also grabbed a trestle for my O27 track, so I can elevate my trolley above the two FasTracks on my layout. And last but not least, grabbed three bridges (two girder bridges, and one short extension bridge) for the layout as well.
I always wanted a Lionel 520 Electric. May not be exciting to some, but they are interesting to me. I noticed, some time ago, that someone on these forums modified one with headlights and a bit more detailing.

Always like this loco and detailing should not ne that hard, maybe a better pantograph, hand rails etc. Please post any mods that you do, I would be interested in them.
I m looking for a 520 running chassis with frame so that I can mount a Lionel prewar 252 body on it. Saw this in the forum somewhere and thought it looke nice with a overhang on each end.
Did not buy this but found this vise in my Grandmother's childhood home. In the basement we saw what left of my Greatgrandfather's old workbench. The workbench was beyond saving. Attached to my greatgrandfather's workbench was the vise. I asked my Dad if I could have it and we were able to unbolt it from the bench so now I need to build a new workbench since my old one would not suport this vise. Glad I was able to rescue the vise before it was tossed out just like the few Hudson Motors manuals that were his when he was a mechanic that I was able to save several years ago.

no pics, but my Std. Gauge track order arrived yesterday morning from USA Track LLC.
Got a Lionel Conrail Genset for a great price at Barry's Train Warehouse sale Saturday Dec 9th. Also a Lionel Polar Express Caboose. Really like the Genset, lots neat features.
Just bought the MTH Railking Christmas (Santa) Box Car 30-74890. Very sharp piece of rolling stock.
Just got this from Germany yesterday. Joustra (french) 2 unit O gauge streamliner.
Clockwork, battery light, though it needs a french battery.

First time ever, went to a train show in Motvale NJ yesterday and did not buy anything. Show was small, prices were a bit high.
Guess that I m Getty fussy in my old age
K-Line 4670A. Pretty decent shape. Already thinking of doing some EOT lighting work on the observation car. We’ll see if it’s feasible.

that broken boom is typical for that car as you most likely know. Replacement booms are available but originals can be a bit pricey.
