A Feeder or a buss is just a heavier gauged wire or in larger applications a copper bar.  If you ran one the length of your layout, you can just tap into it when ever you need that voltage for an accessory.

 

Example I run a 18 gauge wire to several terminal boards on the layout powered by a transformer at 12-14V.  Then I run shorted 20-22 gauge wire from a lighted accessory to those terminals (feeder point).   G
