I've got something "floating" inside my 1.8 amp accessory transformer (603-2934-000) which I assume is a piece of broken plastic or a nut that has come loose and I'd like to get it out.  The unit appears as it is sealed shut but I've got to think that there is a service technique for opening these...any ideas??

Thanks! Mike

I have opened one of those up. Had to use a Dremel and cut away plastic at points to get it open. The unit does not have screw attachments to open/close. It is basically heat sealed shut.

I forget exactly where I cut... I think I had to remove the knob and cut a square around that area. The tranny is in a box now but I could dig it out for pics if you need.

Thanks for the info!  A pic or two of the internal layout would be great, no rush.  I may be able to just drill a 3/8" hole at a safe location and get the offending (potential short) part out.  These are great little boxes and I would hate to toss it if it can be salvaged.  I've got a windmill that runs super on these and poorly on other types...

Thanks again, Mike
