Lionel Legacy Y cable question

I was running TMCC on my layout and have upgraded to a Cab 1L /1L base and purchased a power bridge so as to be able to use my old power masters. I was looking for the Y cable but cant find one available. Can I use a generic 9 pin cable to connect the new base to the power bridge? Thanks for any help / input.
