LW TRANSFORMER

So this is connected to an empty piece of track? Nothing else connected to it?

Need to see how you have it wired up.

First I tried to run on layout, train would run 2 seconds stop and run again,, continued to repeat .

I then disconnected from layout and connected to single 10"fastract section without anything on it. LW goes on and off  as you can see the breaker go on and off

Ok, rookie mistake, 

I went back and looked at all the wiring ,the layout was for a lionchief set I just purchased for my grandson and I know I can't run older trains and lionchief.  The lionchief locomotive was off the tracks before I hooked up the LW transformer. The problem was the  lionchief wall transformer was unplugged BUT was still connected to the fastract power terminal  causing the breaker to pop on and off.

So after 25 years my 2025 is running again

@804teamster I'm glad you figured out the issue.

If you weren't already planning to do so, it may be a good idea to remove the LC power terminal track and just use the LW to power the LC locomotive.  That way the LC power pack doesn't get accidentally reconnected without you knowing.
