Track Power via Fastrack Command Switch Terminals

The auxiliary posts don't have anything to do with powering the track. They are for powering the switch mechanisms.With the jumper in, the switch is powered by track power. If you are using command control, most users leave the jumper in and operate the switch with the remote. Two drops to the track for power should be adequate for your plan.

I've read elsewhere that I need drops every 6-10 track sections. Is that not correct?

NOT  a good idea with FasTrack... for 022/711 and K-Line switches this is fine and is a sound method.

The wiring in the FasTrack switches is of a very small gauge and cannot handle the current of the operating trains... it will melt and cause damage.

@Rob Greer, you're right, so four drops would be better for DCS recommendations. Also, you should isolate those four blocks for DCS. You didn't specify what system you want to use. Lionel would be different.

That exact kind of problem first hand what damage happens.
