I purchased a zw multi watt transformer with 2 180 watt power blocks. (new in the Box), don't know how old it is. When I turn the transformer on the red light comes on & stays illuminated. This is even before the wiring is hooked to the track. The trains & trolleys run fine, all sounds & functions work. Polar express runs from Lion chief remote, but the light bothers me. I doesn't blink, it is just "on" like the green light. In the event of a short circuit the unit shuts off, both green & red light go out & restarts fine, with both lights on again. Should I worry about this?
The reason I purchased this is because my Polar express is pulling 8 passenger cars & a camera car around a roughly 9' x 5' oval. When it passes through my isolated track for the Polar Express auto gateman, the train stops sometimes when the gateman exits the building. Sometimes the gateman comes out momentarily then back in, sometimes he stays out until the last car leaves the isolated track. I was using a CW-80 and at this point the gateman is running off of track power.
Any advice?
