I have been reading through my Legacy manual and on p. 28 it talks about "Train Link". It says it helps you "quickly access operating cars in your consist". Would someone please give examples of how they use this feature? Thanks!

Marty...
Thanks for replying! So, say you have the stock yard car in the consist... Don't you have to be on an operating track or is this one where you don't need a special track section? I'm confused.
I think I get accessing the different horns but how is it faster than simply swapping between engines?
I have the Vision Line stock car with the mooing cows and other effects. The train link allows you to quickly access the cars within that train rather than trying to remember their IDs, and punching in ENG and numbers and then the same to get back.
It's a short cut to access the cars within that train.
Thanks! So unless I have TMCC/Legacy cars in the consist, this wouldn't be something useful to me. Correct?
That's pretty much correct.
I have a consist with several err operating cars that are all in the train link. Makes it easy to access.
I used it to make my engine Moo when I triggered the horn
Another great example is when using a train with a passenger sound car. Using TL you can quickly access the passenger car sounds and features.
I've converted some operating cars to TMCC, those would be candidates as well.
