I've found Barry's DCS Companion VERY useful as I begin to build my layout, is there a similar "Companion" for TMCC/Legacy?

With the Lionel videos and ton of free advice here...I don't see a market for it.
I collected a bunch of FAQ's when Legacy first came out, it's still here http://www.legacyinfo.net/LegacyFAQ.pdf but some of it is dated. And while it may jump around a bit, the Legacy manual covers most of the features very well.
The nice things about Legacy, it's just that simple. So feel free to ask any questions and hopefully you will never see a thread ending with "This and a whole lot more in the Legacy/TMCC Companion"
I stand by my opinion but maybe I'm just one of those people that don't really have a problem discovering things for myself by using the system and asking the right questions here when need be.
I think the 1.3 manual is an improvement over the original but I still think it falls short in a couple of areas. One shortcoming is that while it does tell you what the various controls do, it doesn't really explain why those functions exist or when you might want to use them. Another area that would be helpful, especially for newcomers would be a "how to" section that was organized by task. A good troubleshooting guide should also be included.
Pushing buttons and trying things out is great and I have found out some cool things by doing it but there are things about the interface that are NOT intuitive to everyone. It does take some getting used to.
@Chris: Your FAQ is still useful and I appreciate the effort. Thanks!
@Marty: Thanks for answering my silly questions!

I think one of the best (and there are many) benefits of the DCS O Gauge Companion is it is written from a users perspective, and not necessarily from the manufacturer's perspective (except where they agree with each other). I also appreciate that it's not just about what all the buttons do ( I agree with Marty on the fun of discovery), but setting DCS up right the first time. For instance using star rather than bus, using a filter or light bulb to increase signal strength, track block length, power districts, etc. Having a comparable Legacy/TMCC manual written from the user's perspective would be very helpful when building a layout using Legacy/TMCC and wanting to do it right the first time.
I also recognize that there is quite a bit of information about this topic scattered about in this and other forums; and that's just the problem, it's scattered about and unorganized. It would take several nights of copy and pasting search results about Legacy/TMCC set up solutions and still possibly not get all of it; a users manual (or wiki (I know we talked about this a year ago and it was not well received)) written by a user would be nice to have.
As far as a market goes, I believe it would be the same market that uses DCS, many of us also run want to run Legacy/TMCC on the same layout.
I also don't want to shoot down the existing Legacy manual, I have one and I use it, but I think something comparable to the DCS O Gauge Companion would be much better.
Chad, luckily a bunch of those things listed for DCS you don't have to do with Legacy
Example the closet thing you have to use to magic light bulb is a ground plane (or radiator) and that is only in a few very limited situations. And as for start wiring, nope its one wire and enjoy.
As for getting DCS and Legacy to play together Barry has covered that, I guess I could copy Barry's book into the Legacy FAQ's, but I don't think Barry would dig that.
I'll see about jotting some notes in it about Train Link.
